Design & Display
The Tecno Phantom V Fold design isn’t that different from what you will see in most foldable phones in Nigeria. It has a speaker and a microphone at the top, a second speaker, microphone at the bottom alongside a USB Type-C port and a SIM tray. The volume rocker and power button (with fingerprint sensor) are on the right. It weighs 296 grams which is kinda heavy.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold display is dual in nature. When unfolded, you will find a lavished 7.85inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The default screen when folded has a 6.42inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, making it super responsive.
There are some cutomizations on the UI to explore which makes life kinda easy with this phone but you will have to learn how to use them. The display also supports HDR and has up to 1100 peak brightness.
Camera & Battery
The Tecno Phantom V Fold Camera set up is made up of two front-facing cameras: 32MP(folded) and 16MP(unfolded) selfie cameras. The rear camera on the other hand has a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto and 13MP ultra-wide. The overall quailty of the camera is good but they aren’t the best in Nigeria.
Tecno Phantom V Fold battery life is not very strong and this is no surprise considering the abundance display all round. It has 5000mAh battery capacity and a 45W fast charger, it take about an hour and 8 minutes to charge up this phone from 0 – 100%. If you are a light user, you should get at least a day of use in Nigeria.
